Celebration of Richard’s life service will be at 7:00P.M. On Thursday March 9, 2017 at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL. Burial will be at a later date.

Richard Russell Jenkins, 24, of Willow Hill, IL passed away on Sunday March 5, 2017 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL.
Richard was born in Decatur, IL on July 21, 1992 to Leroy Jenkins Jr. and Melissa (Richards) Jenkins, who both survive.
Richard was currently the assistant manager at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Robinson, IL. He had also worked at P.M.R. Precision Mine Repair as assistant driller and for Geiger Tractors. He attended Carmi High School his freshman and sophomore year and played varsity football. He then attended Oblong High School his junior and senior year graduating in 2011. Richard attended Ohio Technical College graduating in 2013 with high honors. Richard was a member of the Crawford County Auto Club. He enjoyed working on high performance cars and trucks, especially liked working on Dodge trucks. Richard designed the logo for the 15th Annual Spooktacular Band Festival that was used on the t-shirts and sweatshirts in 2010.
Richard is survived by his parents Leroy Jenkins Jr. of Maunie, IL and Melissa Jenkins of Oblong, IL; four sisters Amanda Jenkins, Oblong, IL, Andrea and Jason Greenwell, Robinson, IL, Ashley and Jeff Sparks, Stewardson, IL, and Laura Jenkins, Lincolnton, NC. He is also survived by four nieces Madison Shidler, Stewdardson, IL, Cadence Gilmore, Lincolnton, IL, twins Nola Jenkins, and Nave Jenkins, Lincolnton, NC; three nephews Corbin Greenwell and Cameron Greenwell, Robinson, IL and Jersey Johnson of Lincolnton, NC. Richard is also survived by his girlfriend Courtney McDonald.
